Continuing our exploration of the geologic wonders of western Kansas, we peeled away from the sunset "crowds" gathered around the keyhole at the Chalk Pyramids and headed a short distance further west to Little Jerusalem Badlands. We expected to see a few more sunset seekers there.Little Jerusalem Badlands Life on the Rocks. This trail begins at the gravel trail near the west end and traces the upper reaches of the ravines which descend into the valley below. The trail leads to the most iconic overlooks in the park revealing the breadth of the Niobrara formations and the surrounding prairie valley below.
