Bloodborne doesn't have bad weapons. Not even the Rifle Spear. The saw cleaver is actually one of the best weapons in the game. It has a great moveset and is fast enough to deal tons of dmg if you can spam R1 3-4 times. The transformed moveset is also great for more range but sadly doesn't have the serrated bonus.Some of the weapons that can charge R2s very quickly are the untricked forms of the Saw Cleaver and Saw Spear, the Blades of Mercy, and the untricked Threaded Cane which also has very long range.
