Anyways I personally like split damage in DS1 because you can get extremely high ARs with it for almost no stat investment. Like the lightning or chaos Zwei is a ridiculous weapon. For 16/10 str/dex you get 650AR on the lightning Zwei (the superior choice in many ways).
