I would have to say my favorite digital camera currently is the Fuji X-H1. I bought a very lightly used copy in October 2020, specifically because of its IBIS and high-res EVF. So imo the best tropes are alternate timelines/doppelgängers cause it feels like it could be injected into reality. The one trope I really dislike though is the simple voice over situation. Cost of entry will most likely be higher with a DSLR/mirrorless, even excluding the camera body, though can be done more economically than my setup with a little creativity (possibly at the cost of efficiency). Also, the autofocus mechanism doesn't actually focus the camera until the moment of the shot. When you half press the shutter button in acquires focus. When you take the picture, the lens moves into position, the shutter fires, and the lens moves out of position.
