Was cleaning up some wiring on my T-Bucket and I undid the distributor wiring to add a grommet to it where it goes through the firewall. I took note that there was 2 wires. One marked with a yellow line going to the coil, and the other marked with a red line tied in with the 12v feed on the resistor. I purchased a Procomp Electronics 6001D HEI to replace the Accel 41000. A diagram at KMJ Performance and talking with a Procomp tech, the voltage comes from the ignition. The below diagram shows a 20gauge ignition wire goes to the + post of the coil (which the HEI does away with) then to the "R" terminal on the starter solenoid.
